Saime Ceramiche
The history of Saime Ceramiche has its roots in 1938 and since then it has constantly strengthened one goal: to produce high quality porcelain stoneware. The company S.A.I.M.E (Società Anonima Industrie Materiali Edili) was born in 1938 in Sassuolo while from the mid-sixties it moved to Maranello where it is currently located. In 1987 it was taken over by the Riwal Group, subsequently becoming one of the largest and most productive plants in the area.
In 2007 the entire Riwal Group (at that time made up of the commercial brands Saime, Alfa, San Prospero and Lux) became part of the Casalgrande Padana Group. With this latest acquisition, the SAIME brand incorporates the SAN PROSPERO brand while a process of radical transformation of the site begins within the Maranello plant which, over 10 years, leads to the renewal of almost all of the plants (with a total investment in plants and building works of around 50 million euro).
